Recharging my e-mtb's lithium-type battery to approximately a 60% charge after a ride is also a good practice towards extending the battery's useful life. Such rechargeable batteries like being at a partial "storage charge" when not in use (short term and long term). Also helps that one only needs to charge the battery another 40% to be fully charged and ready to go. Would be nice if manufacturers supplied more robust chargers that had a "storage charge" feature.

Lots of common sense but the most fun comes from dangerous speed! I like high speed mountain biking like especially on straight runs and on the road between trails. 30mph and higher on a straight away is pretty damn fast and fun too!

I've had to learn how to use gears again.. as I find myself just staying in the same gear and just using the modes for gears 🤣🤣

Coat internal connections with Vaseline if you live in a damp place.

Turbo is often too much. Yup, Turbo mode will throw you forward during uphills and turns.

When are you going to run out of 10 XYS's you can't do etc?

Power = Torque x Revs. The motor’s torque needs you to add the revs to get the maximum power available. That’s why cadence is so important. Learn to spin your feet & choose spinny gears for the terrain ahead. Mashing the pedals just won’t work & may harm your drivetrain. It’s best to change down early too. Changing down a gear when under power can be harsh - you’ll hear your mistake! If you’re coming to a planned stop, quickly change to lower gears, ready for starting again. On an unplanned stop consider using walk-support to change the gear down (click shifter down, lift back wheel off ground, engage walk support until gear has changed). Also try to ride in the lowest mode you can to save battery and feel the benefit of added oomph when it matters. This helps keep you fit too. Best way to learn is getting out there & playing 🤙
