Clear and concise.
A tip on how to setup permissions on a folder such that no matter which program creates files/directory within it, they have the same permissions and ownership as configured. setfacl and s flag in chmod should help

Is the runme a necessary part of the syntax? We are learning about the chmod command in a class I’m in but I’m still a total newbie and getting a lot of terms thrown my way right now. I don’t seem to remember us using runme at the end of any of our commands in class demos this week, which is why I asked. Im just on YouTube trying to get supplemental knowledge to hopefully make some of this stick.

Thanks. Could you please explain the relation between owner, group and other, and when the distinctions between them matter?
