Imperfections is one of the best crime thrillers that I have seen in a long time! It’s about a struggling actress named Cassidy, whose desperation to find a new job leads her to a diamond importing business in Chicago where she learns how to transport diamonds to different retailers around town. It could be a dangerous business if you aren’t careful, but the part where it starts to get really interesting is when Cassidy and the owner’s son, Alex, devise a get rich quick scheme in order to help pay off their debts. One thing I’ve learned is that things never go to plan, and what happens next is sure to surprise the audience. My favorite character in the film was an Irish badass named Ray, he’s Cassidy’s ex-boyfriend with a knack for messing things up but he added a great comedic element to the film. Overall, I really enjoyed watching this movie and highly recommend it to anyone interested in watching a thrilling new movie.

I just found my new favorite heist movie! This unpredictable and dramatic comedy will grab your attention and keep it the whole way through. The story follows an aspiring actress who lands a part-time job as a delivery girl for expensive jewels in NYC. She conspires with her co-worker to take part in a get-rich-quick scheme that takes an unexpected turn. Suspenseful and witty, this film even has some romance. This new movie is perfect for fans of shows such as Shameless and Arrested Development. Zach McGowan from Shameless is even one of the main characters in this film, I was excited to see him play such a well-done role. I highly recommend it!

What a great film! Imperfections combines suspense, mystery, romance, and action in a way that is entertaining and easy to follow from beginning to end. It’s about a woman named Cassidy who not only struggles to find both a career in acting and more importantly, herself. When she’s gone on one-too-many bad auditions, she gives in to the job offer from her mom’s new boyfriend as a runner for a jewelry store. When her paycheck isn’t up to her Hollywood-level standards, she teams up with his son in a heist to outsmart their insurance agency and get rich quick. With great editing and a laugh-out-loud script, you’ll sit back and enjoy the film until the action and twists draw you to the edge of your seats. It’s simply a well-done film that all types of viewers will enjoy.

Imperfections is a film that challenges the millennial problems and struggles within today’s society. From paralyzing fears covered up by an unique fashion sense to the notion that she’s well put together is her life of disarray is all brought to light in this witty and quick banter comedy/ drama film. Along with displaying these struggles, the writers keep it light with the use of a light and playful romance and great lines and personalities that each actor brings to each character. Throughout the film, the director does a great job of capturing great camera angles, tracking scenes, and using the lighting perfectly to reflect the tone of the scene at hand. Along with the cinematography, the crew did a great job at matching sounds and music with the film to enhance the quality and feeling to the film. I highly recommend this film to all film lovers and any millennials still trying to figure out life.

Following a would-be actor who gets caught up in a scheme to steal diamonds from her job as part of a “victimless crime, ” Imperfections skillfully covers themes of love, dream-chasing, and redemption. On top of the incredible writing, the film boasts a charming cast. For stars like Zach McGowan (Shameless and The 100) and Virginia Kull (Boardwalk Empire), this may be one of their first films, but they act like seasoned veterans. Imperfections is a fun watch I’ve got to recommend.

For a movie called Imperfections, the words I’d use to describe this movie would be much closer to the contrary. This film follows Cassidy, a diamond courier and aspiring Chicagoan actress who gets in on a scheme to fraud her boss’ diamond insurance for an easy cash grab. Imperfections doesn’t just have a stellar cast, but this film’s vexing plot, great cinematography, and all around charm make it an unforgettable one. I’d highly suggest seeing Imperfections for a look at an exemplary heist film, riddled with drama, comedy, and romance that’s sure to entertain moviegoers abound.

Imperfections is a smart and well-done romantic comedy. Focusing on a young actress, her spacy boyfriend and her handsome boss, the film is made up of an exciting love triangle and a diamond heist. Virginia Kull (Boardwalk Empire), Ashton Holmes (Revenge) and Zach McGowan (Shameless) play off each other very well and the script, co-written by the director David Singer and his brother, is full of quick, witty banter for them to perform. The two lead’s parents also have a romance of their own that is wonderfully done by the two veteran actors Marilu Henner (Taxi) and Ed Begley Jr. (Pineapple Express). Henner and Begley have some hilarious moments and their romance compliments the love triangle plot well. Singer’s direction is just as good as his actors’ performances. There are some really fantastic long shots in this film that are great to look at. A funky soundtrack and snappy pace bring everything together to make Imperfections an enjoyable caper. Fans of heist films should give this one a watch.

An amazing new film from first time director David Singer is Imperfections a comedy set in Chicago about a struggling actress, Cassidy (Virginia Kull) and a young diamond distributer, Alex (Ashton Holmes), trying to cash in on some insurance money in order to achieve their dreams. Things get a bit complicated when Cassidy’s ex-boyfriend and failed drug dealer (a brilliant Zach McGowan) tries to win her heart back, and Alex is struggling to pay some debts and live under his father’s (Ed Begley Jr.) shadow. Each character has their own quirks and imperfections, and their flaws collide and fall apart in surprising ways in this dramatic comedy. Singer savors the dissonance and tension in every relationship on screen, but within these struggles and conflicts, there is a warmth and that soft glows, and it isn’t until the last frame fades that you even realize it was there, and it will make you want to hit rewind and watch the movie all over again.

As a comedy and crime film, you are entertained with both witty humor and surprising twists as you follow Cassidy, a struggling actress, played by Virginia Kull. Unable to financially support herself and a move back to LA, she moves in her with mother and accepts a job with her mother’s boyfriend, a diamond importer in Chicago. After realizing the money isn’t enough, Cassidy and the boss’ son, played by Ashton Holmes, conspire a robbery to solve their financial problems and pin the fall guy as Cassidy’s ex, played by Zach McGowan. The characters are relatable, genuine, but flawed that have you rooting for them through the mishaps that occurred. Imperfections pleasantly surpassed my initial thought as I was intrigued and captured by the story. The editing and flow of the film is well layered and unfolds through the suspense and entertainment of the story line. Imperfections is a gem of a film any film lover will enjoy!
