I picked up a couple of USB tamper resistant receptacles at Lowes for $15 each. These are the "Charging Essentials" brand and are 15 amp models with integrated USB outlets. A fairly easy and fun project to do. As always, you should consult or hire an electrician. For Entertainment purposes only!

Excellent work! You'd be surprised how many would chose not to change out an outlet. As for those tamper resistant receptacles...not a fan of them (or GFCI for that matter). But, I don't have small kids around.

I just bought thoes. Wanted to but it in the kitchen. But my one kitchen plug has a red wire coming off can I not use it there?
