NASM Study Guide | How To Pass NASM-CPT | Show Up Fitness
Показать описание
Are you trying to pass the NASM-CPT (how to pass NASM-CPT)? First off, if you have time, try to get a refund (watch our videos on what it takes to become a personal trainer and review your goals.) If you NEED a certification to become a personal trainer at Equinox or Crunch, then use our study guide to help you navigate through the chapters. Here are some things to remember: NASM WANTS YOU TO PASS so you continue to drink their punch (CES/WLS/FNS/PES.) The chances of the average person to continue on studying and trying to pass their cert ONCE they fail is extremely low, so why would they want you to fail? There are some chapters that are worth reading (chapters 6 & 14) and then there's some chapters in the essentials of personal fitness training 6th edition that you don't need to read (chapter 1, 4, 18) to name a few. Don't waste time studying, learn what you need, and use our study guide to help you pass the NASM-CPT. NASM has a lot of certifications, do not continue your education and buying more certs. REMEMBER: Internships over Certifications.
The average personal trainer quits within 6-months, so ask yourself, do you want to be average? If you do, take the NASM CPT, go work at a corporate gym like Equinox, 24-hour, Crunch, or Lifetime Fitness, and find yourself looking into other careers because as I mention in my book How To Become A Successful Personal Trainer, there are 3 fundamental truths within the fitness industry:
1- Low Entry Standards
2- The Industry is a ClusterF&%$
3- False Expectations
Show Up Fitness - Where Great Trainers Are Made
What's the best certification to become a trainer? There's none, you need to go through an internship to become a personal trainer. NSCA, ACSM, NASM, ISSA, and ACE, are all inferior to going through a personal training program to learn anatomy, nutrition and movement in a classroom setting. You will become a great personal trainer by practice on actual clients, not other students like they do at NPTI & AFNA. The average personal trainer quits within 6-months due to a lack of education and the constant greed for more certifications. HINT HINT, more personal training certifications do not make you a better trainer, a foundation of movement and practicing in a practical environment with qualified instructors.
