Definitely would rebuy. Same thing in the knife hobby. You want to experience a bunch of different ones, but then come back to ones that you really like.

Can't rebuy if you never sell! Keeper 4 life! .... I have 44. Send help.

No. You sold it for a reason. This conclusion comes from experience

I was pretty anti-rebuy for years up until recently. I always felt like why would I rebuy the same watch? I must’ve gotten rid of it for a good reason.

Now I have re-bought a couple of watches, and I’m happy with my re-purchases so far. Like you mentioned, if I were to get the itch to sell these again, I would have to give it serious thought before I do, because I don’t want to make the same mistake again.

I’m about to re-buy a third watch, so half of my collection will be rebuys.

Ahhh, I know that Axios! I sold it to Mike and one of the great things about our discord group is the generosity of the people in the group. Good on Mike for his generosity!

I re-bought a Citizen NY0040 full lume dial then re-sold it to re-buy a G-Shock Rangeman.🙂

It depends, but generally yes, if you feel strongly. I've often sold watches only to regret it later on.

Agree on your POV about rebuys.

I think my most rebought watch of the exact same model was the white dial Sinn 104.. 3 times. I sold the last 3rd rebuy. I still sometimes regret it and think about yet another rebuy. But, I don't think I will again. IF I were to rebuy a 104, the other one I liked almost equally is the black dial Arabic numerals version. But, the color scheme is even more basic than the white dial and I have to think hard before doing so. So, far, no go.

As far as non-identical technical rebuys, the Glycine Airman and Seiko Tuna rank the highest. Have had many variations looking for the "perfect" version. I think they have been unidentically rebought 8 & 13 times respectively.

There is 1 other watch I sold later last year which I feel I shouldn't have. Might be another rebuy. Will see. I have to sell some before I consider this rebuy.

Never did a rebuy until recently. Sold my Seiko SPB237 Grey Birch Willard on the Seichu straps about one year ago. Missed it terribly. Found a new one online from Hong Kong for a great price and pulled the trigger. Never had such pangs of regret with regard to many much more expensive watches sold.

I could see this for serial watch flippers who might not know what they had until it’s gone. For those of us who don’t sell much, I think a rebuy would be much more rare. I’ve never done it.

I take very long time to purchase the watch and most of the time it is a keeper.
I don't sell my watches but if I would, I would most likely rebuy it later but with different reference number.

I rebought one watch once. The full lume ny0040. I really liked the watch, I only sold because I wanted to downsize and help pay for another similar one. I shipped mine out and like a week later bought it again. Just a silly mistake.

I did rebuy a Hammerhead (actually replaced it with 2). I think I set a dollar threshold on this of watches under $750, as it just gets too painful the more expensive they get. I also tend to like to buy new with the exception of dealing with a trusted group (e.g, flippers). I have 4 "Luxury" watches, the rest are micros and Seikos. When I consider selling one of the more expensive watches, I step back, cool my jets and ask myself if I could ever justify spending that much on the same watch again. The answer is always "No" and I've found that even re-buying a watch in alot of cases means at least 2 have to go out for one to come in.

I haven’t sold many watches but the two I regret selling are my Seiko sarb033 and srpa21. The srpa is much easier to get at a decent price and am now going to buy the new king PADI but the sarb is selling for twice as much as I sold it for and I’m not convinced it’s worth it anymore because I am actually thinking about getting an older aqua terra 38mm which has almost perfect proportions so it makes it less likely I’ll rebuy

I would only rebuy if improvements have been made to the model or if I wanted another colorway.

I've never sold a watch due to my fear of not being able to re-buy it. Plus at present my collection is small. I know at some point I will have to let something go. After 25 straight days thinking the RR Nodus is in the keeper category though.

I usually have to have strong reasons to buy. I have a small accumulation of watches and haven't sold any. Don't plan to, either.

I will never sell my POs, my Black Bay, or the Tudor Submariner. I rebought several Seikos, and might do so with the Helson Sharkmaster some day. I try to sell everything I don ´t wear anymore…
Normally when I see a great watch I ask myself: Choosing a watch in the morning, would I choose this one over one of my four keepers? If I only start to think about, I don ´ t buy it. I save a lot of money this way, and wear the best watches I own…

What about buying two of the exactly same watches while keeping both of them?
