The august auto lock/unlock feature is only works when you leave or arrive. It is not an auto locking feature that would automatically lock/unlock the door on a schedule...for instance lock the door everynight at 11.

The August smart lock is made of mostly plastic with the exception of the outer shell. All the internals is plastic. It's very easy to slip a flathead screwdriver between the lock and the door and pry it out and break in under 10 seconds. Would not recommend this one at all.

Kwikset Halo lock is terrible. The app always shows "lock offline" and doesn't work. It displays that the door is locked when it is unlocked. UGH! I have had it for a year now and they keep sending updates that don't fix anything. I am now researching to find one that actually works with its app.
