Lahori Mutton karhai
Serves 4-5
Recipe in English:

Ingredients:
-Dahi (Yogurt) ½ Cup (room temperature)
-Cream 2 tbs (room temperature)
-Pani (Water) ½ Cup or as required
-Lehsan paste (Garlic paste) 1 tbs
-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ¼ tsp
-Mutton mix boti ½ kg
-Tamatar (Tomatoes) chopped 2 medium
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
-Cooking oil ½ Cup
-Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp or to taste
-Garam masala powder 1 tsp
-Hari mirch (Green chilies) chopped 2-3
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
-Adrak (Ginger) julienne
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander)
-Adrak (Ginger) julienne
-Hari mirch (Green chilies)

Directions:
-In bowl,add yogurt and cream,whisk well & set aside.
-In wok,add water,garlic paste and mix well.
-Add turmeric powder,mix and bring it to boil.
-Add mutton mix boti,tomatoes,salt and mix well.
-Cover and cook on medium low flame for 15-20 minutes then cook on high flame for 8-10 minutes.
-Add cooking oil,mix continuously and cook for 5 minutes.
-Add red chili powder and mix well.
-Add garam masala powder,mix well and cook until oil separates.
-On low flame,add yogurt+cream mixture,mix continuously and cook for 3-4 minutes.
-Add green chilies,fresh coriander and ginger,mix and cook on low flame until oil separates.
-Garnish with fresh coriander,ginger,green chili & serve.

Ajza:

Directions:
-Bowl mein dahi aur cream dal ker ache tarhan whisk karein & side per rakh dein.
-Karhai mein pani aur lehsan paste dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Haldee powder dal ker mix karein aur ubal anay dein.
-Mutton mix boti,tamatar aur namak dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Dhak dein aur halki darmiyani ancch per 15-20 minutes kliya paka lein phir tez ancch per 8-10 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Cooking oil dal dein aur musalsal mix kertay rahein aur 5 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Lal mirch powder dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Garam masala powder dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein aur oil alag hunay tak paka lein.
-Halki ancch per dahi+cream ka mixture dal ker musalsal mix kertay rahein aur 3-4 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Hari mirch,hara dhania aur adrak dal ker mix karein aur halki ancch per oil alag hunay tak paka lein.
-Hara dhania,adrak aur hari mirch sa garnish ker ka serve karein.

Tbsp means tablespoon and tsp means teaspoon right?

Gosht ko adha ghanta 4 cup pani daal kar gala lain or usi bachi hoee yakhni main ye spices or oil daal kar banain, bohat achchi banay gee.

hamara to nahi galta 1 cup pani or 20 minutes me, , 😕 chup ke or kitna pani dala tha

I always boil beef first ( half done), than add all spices and cook, never cook in 1 cup water, not possible.

You can also add all ingredients all together in the pot and just put it on medium gas... Dat too turns out superb... That's my ganmaa's style. Old Tested Traditional and authentic way of cooking🍲

So i made this receipe today. and it turned out really delicious, i wasnt expecting it to be this yummy as i thought it had quite basic ingredients. anyways I pressure cooked the meat with just half a glass of water for like 10 mins as i was short on time and then used the same water for the garlic paste and haldi. Thanks again!! i would recommend people to give it a try! Very easy and quick!! and can be easily served on dawats!
