I live in Louisiana. And I’m shocked at how many nearby places like these are “haunted.”

The most terrifying part of Louisiana is the humidity and mosquitoes 😂😂😂

Nice compilation, but as a Louisianan, I'd really like it if you could list the names of the towns where locations like the Pea Farm and Alice's Grave are. Thanks!

Fun fact: my mom told me she considered naming me Toni Jo. After the woman in #6. Yes, my mom proudly told me she wanted to name me after a murderer. No, I don't talk to her anymore.

337 here, I usually see anything mentioning our state and gag. 1st slot, Beauregard jail and I was excited! And thanks for not saying cray fish. Louisiana is full of culture, food, good people, but a of sorrow & heavy history.

I’m from NY but I frequent the drive to Beaufort South Carolina a lot and each time want to go to Louisiana! My soul is so drawn to it.

I live in Lake Charles where the Courthouse is. Every bit of the story is true. It’s Cal-ka-shoo, after the Calcasieu Indians, and it means Crying Eagle.

St Louis cemetery #1 is one of my favorite places to visit! Sadly, I did not experience any paranormal activity there....but I was only there during the day on 2 occasions. I watch a local tour company's video about Marie, and she may not be buried there after all. No one knows for sure. The park now has restricted access (guided tours only), due to vandalism.

Calcasieu is definitely a hard one to pronounce! It’s pronounced kal-kuh-shoo! :)

Calcasieu is pronounced Cal-ku-shoe.. my mother worked at the Courthouse 20 years and I worked their three years and I’ve never experienced a haunting nor she but not to say that no one has. Idk. It seems I vaguely remember someone telling me that it was haunted when I worked there 30 years ago. My mom worked there from 1960-80.

I've been living in DeRidder for 43 years. The Gothic jail is a major tourist attraction around Halloween. Nice small town with plenty of jobs, nice neighborhoods, excellent school system, and a church on every corner.

Something about LaLaurie Mansion terrifies me to the core. I love Louisiana and especially New Orleans, but I will never set foot in that mansion.

The Pea Farm is in Shreveport, Louisiana and I used to live down the road from it a few years back and it is most definitely haunted, mostly by snakes and teens trying to make out.
