It's when God raises his voice then goes to him and says, "Oh Moses". Almost as if he's picking him up to hug him like a father does with his toddler. I shed a tear every time. I miss my father.

And Moses was not the only one who cried in this scene...

Everyone's covered how great the acting is but let's not forget this score. Zimmer captured PERFECTLY what it feels like to be called by the Spirit. Awe-inspiring, peaceful and at times, terrifying.

“I shall be with you Moses.” Gets me every time.

Wow, they really captured this interchange perfectly. When the bush admonishes him, you feel the full wrath of the glory of God. But as Moses is overwhelmed by this, the bush comes to him tenderly with the complete understanding and compassion that only God could bring.

I just love how everyone who worked on this scene went out of their way to make this seen so tender and chilling to watch all at the same time. Its a beautiful representation of the God of the Bible.

I will always love this quote: "Who made man's mouth? Who made the deaf, the mute, the seeing, or the blind? Did not I? Now go!" The way he spoke softly and and bursts like thunder. I love this depiction of God, for being both the smiting and the caring of all living creatures of the world.

The delivery of “Who made man’s mouth?” And “did not I??” Gets me every time

What I love about this scene - the voice of God is a mixture of all of the actors’ voices. The whispers, sighs, shouted overlays, etc. The voice that is the most prominent is the voice of Moses (Val Kilmer). In one of the behind the scenes, a producer said that they did this to show the how in Genesis, God breathed His life into man, and so God speaks His truth through those around us and speaks internally to us (our own inner voice). If you listen closely, you can pick out the voice of Rameses(Ralph Fines), Miriam(Sandra Bullock), Aaron (Jeff Goldbloom), and Tzipporah(Michelle Pfifer), Jethro (Donald Glover), Etc.

Whenever I’m having a difficult point in my life, I rewatch this scene. It reminds me that although life is difficult, that once we let go of our fear and learn to trust in the power of god that we can truly overcome and do amazing things. I cry every time.

Moses was so human in this film. To have to play the role of being God's messenger was terrifying and it would mean he would go through so much. It would even lead to him to allowing the Angel of Death to kill his nephew and completely breaking his relationship with Ramses, someone he really loved and wanted to be with if only the situation was different. It's even in the lyrics "and even now I wish that God
had chosen another". Moses was portrayed to be a person just trying his best to finish his duty but it didn't mean that he was this brave, fearless, all-wise leader. He was scared, confused, and suffered mostly through this journey which is how most people would feel if they were in the same position.

3:38 - 3:45
“So I will stretch out my hand & smite Egypt with all my WONDERS!”
Major goosebumps, tears & chills down my spine every single time.

Ok, even in an animation the wrath of God is already terrifying

Imagine if they had Val Kilmer narrate an audiobook for the whole Bible. He did an amazing job with Moses/God. This scene gets me every time.

It blows my mind that Dreamworks made this masterpiece. This studio has made some great films in the past: Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train your dragon. However I’m fully in the belief that this is Dreamworks’ best film ever, and one of the best animated films ever. I think it’ll be a long time before another film like this one will be made.

1:28 that moment when God says to Moses: I AM THAT I AM, along with the music from background gives me real goosebumps

The part where God says who made man's mouth always gives me chills, but what makes me tear up is right after when he says so tender and lovingly "oh Moses" like a parent comforting their child after a scolding.
