Mountain Bike Geometry Explained in 90 SECONDS

Mountain bike geometry is confusing. Head tube angle? Seat tube angle? Wheelbase? Standover height? Who cares!

YOU care, because all of these things affect your ride. So I learned about them, and I'm going try to explain them in just 90 seconds.

(Why? Well, the weather's terrible for riding, so...this is what I've got. Fingers crossed next week is better!)

This video, this channel, this information is so underrated. You would not believe the time spent trying to figure out what all of these different angels do in regards to my riding style that was now just summed up in 1, 2 minute informative video. Dude, you just don't understand how well made your videos are and there are so many people that could value from these as an average rider. I would recommend you put a lot of your stuff on r/MTB. A lot of beginner riders could value from this video alone.

Great info, great video! Worth considering - BB height also affects handling; lower is generally more stable, and tire/wheel size/fork can directly affect BB height.

Izzo’s ht angle is 66/66.5, just like the Jeffsy’s... Except the Izzo Blaze which is slacker at 65.5/66... I know it was just an example...

This video was great but wayyy too fast! I'm a veteran mountain biker and had to stop reweing and listen to parts again. But, absolutely great information. And I'm curious for more, why and what's the research behind why the angle have been evolving the way they do. What makes for better climbing and why and same for descending. How about cornering?
