That extra fine looks like it's tearing the paper...the stub looks awful too. Why do you say the in-house nibs are good? They seem to write poorly in most of your reviews.

I really like the colours of these Operas, but the metal section... I'd rather wait for some next iteration of Homo Sapiens or go for Magma model.

bought a Visconti Homo Sapiens demo stone with a medium nib. It did not
write. With pressure, it wrote a fine, excessively dry line. I asked
the retailer to swap it for a broad nib, but the result was the same. It
did not write; with pressure, it lay a thin medium, very dry line. I
asked the seller about this problem, and she told me this is a
well-known problem with these (house-made) nibs. Don't waste your money

Homo Sapiens around $716 and this Opera Demo is $600. I think the jump is worth it. That slick grip is not good. But beautiful pens.

I just think Visconti is too expensive, also I don’t like the names they call the finish on the pens. I know why they do it, and I hope it does bring more interest, but I personally don’t like it. Great job!

I was not able to enjoy Versailles when I was reminded of where all that wealth came from. I think those same thoughts would interfere with my enjoyment of these Versailles-inspired pens as well.
