If you are eligible to become a U.S. citizen and you have a child under the age of 18, you should not wait. Getting your citizenship while your kid is underage gives them a tremendous benefit.

Why would I need to file N 600 for my kid if I can straight apply for her US passport?

But this is for people that were under 18 before the law on 2/27/2001 went to affect right?

Hey Jim, very interesting! I have a question that pretty much know the answer, my father was a naturalized citizen, had most of his children in the US, came back to his mother country Panamá, got married to my mother and had me, he traveled back and forth but never took me there, I'm now 34 Y/O, I'm pretty sure I dont have the "rights" to inherit the citizenship or to make it any easier to get it, can you tell me if i'm wrong or not?
