My most prized possession is my electric guitar autographed by all the guys in The Cars. Fantastic band.

Their debut was one of the best debuts ever, , every song 💥

Moving In Stereo/All Mixed Up should be your next from them

RIP Ric Ocasik and Ben Orr

The Cars has some great songs, some very underrated guitar playing and pretty damn creative songs.

Thank you Harri! The Cars, in my humble opinion, set the standard for the punk/new wave bands. This song never gets old. Elliot Easton’s guitar playing is fantastic.

Love this band. They're one of a very few where I can queue up their entire discography, play it from start to finish, and never once hear a bad song. Great choice, great reaction!

The Cars have so many greats hits with a variation of tempos and styles. Always a great time with them. Vocals so great and the band just amazing. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Scott.

The 80's started in the 70's, and The Cars were a huge part of that.

Produced by Roy Baker. He also produced Journey (with Steve Perry) and Queen in the same decade.

Written and sung by the late Ric Ocasek.

1 of the best songs played by The Cars.

RIP RIc and Benjamin Orr.

This was a great time for music. My most played music was this Cars, Blondie Parallel Lines, The Pretenders, Elvis Costello My Aim is True, The Police Outlandos D'Amour, Cheap Trick Heaven Tonight, and The Ramones. Life was kind of great.

Love it, Scott...nice selection. I saw the Cars in Austin, TX back in '79. 4th row seat for $8 and they played every song on "Cars" and "Candy-O"! I would close my eyes and swear I was listening to their albums. One of the best concerts I have ever seen.

This album broke BIG when I was in high school... The Cars were a foundation band for the New Wave era

There are instances when listening to a song in isolation, extracted from the songs both before and after, is not the best experience; something is lost. The Dark Side of the Moon record is like that. And so is Side 2 of The Cars debut album. The radio hits are all on Side 1, but to my ears, the second side taken as a whole is a mindblowing masterpiece! Deep expression of shifting feelings and emotions. Sublime. With this song here, Harri, things are just getting started.

Joined a band in Toronto soon after arriving back from Vancouver in fall '78 and we played three songs from this album, not this one, but loved the whole record and saw them live in early '79. Great show, sounded just like the album.
I'd already bought the same kind of amp lead guitarist Elliott Easton used.
