It states that the fighting is known to have directly resulted in the deaths or injuries of over 11, 000 children.

One of the worst cholera outbreaks ever documented has also affected Yemen; since 2016, there have been 2.5 million suspected cases and roughly 4, 000 deaths associated with the disease.

I've already watched 3 hours worth of news and analysis content relating to this issue, and here I am, about to watch 35 minutes more.

For the Houthis, the very complicated ownership/management structure of maritime shipping and the fragility of the global economy are features, not bugs. If their goal is to force divestment from Israel, making it incredibly difficult to ship on the Red Sea without making incredibly explicit separation from Israel, will likely push at least some companies to completely cut ties, because they simply can't afford the alternatives.

I spent a long time working on a merchant seaman vessel that stayed in the Persian gulf and around the area, and just recently finished my contract with them right before this fight started to get really explosive. I'm really thankful to not be working anywhere near there anymore.

Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of beauty in the middle east but shit, it's getting scary there.
