Session 6 summary:
**Started off with making a static page using HTML then created an interactive HTML page to take different types of inputs like passwords, text, submit, checkbox and radio button from the user and send it to the server which we created using tags, elements, HTML form etc.
**Function fieldstorage() is used to retrieve the received input data from the client but we also need to use another function known as getvalue() to get the exact value entered by the user.
**The difference between radio button and checkbox

* how to make a static page through HTML
* we tried to make an inbox for client to enter some data and provide it to the server
* how we can design and make page look like to the user through HTML through various elements and attributes of HTML
* different types of inputs present in input function of HTML like check, password, text, submit, radio, for different purposes
* attributes of input function are there like "name" ( which stores its value in avariable), "type" (which tells the type of input is it).
* to send the data from client to the server we need to put that part of HTML body in <form > so it will do it <form/>

* by default it is the property of <form> that if we submit the form then it will reopen the same page or URL again and again
but by using the "action" attribute of <form> function of HTML we can direct it to another site OR url or at a different server
* at the back end for python to get the values given by the user we have a function called fieldstorage() in module called cgi but this returns many unnecessory things to the variable in which it is stored so to get the exact values of that input we use another function in python known as getvalue() and this will return the exact value given by the client .
* we got the actual differences between the radio box and checkbox of input function of HTML
which is
( 1) radiobox = it is like a normal variable which changes its value every time when user gives a new value so if we give same name to two or more radio boxes then any change in any radiobox will change the value of this variable again and again
but
in case of checkbox = it is like an array or a list which stores various values at same place so if we give same name to multiple check boxes then all values will be stored

(2) values of radiobox if ones filled by the client the cannot be unfilled again
but in case of check box the can be unfilled again at that time only

Summary -
1)Learn about the static web pages and dynamic webpages.

2)If we want to retrieve data from some webpage in out CGI-python file we can use the CGI module with Fieldstorage() function.

3)Html is a client-side language and used for displaying object and works as a static webpage.

4)Like in HTML for formatiing the content we use tags like <b> is used for bold, <u> is used for underlining, <br> is used to give new line and many more

5)For taking input from the user we have input tag where we can mention the type of the field like text, password, radio, checkbox

6)I have also learned one great thing which os writeen wrong in the market, people think the only difference between Radio button and checkbox is that we can select only one option Using radio Button at a time and multiple with a checkbox which is a wrong statement

7)Radio Button works like a variable which stores one value at a time in a single variable but if we use seperate variables for each option we can select multiple values

8)The checkbox works like a list which can store multiple values in a single variable or multiple values in multiple variables.

9)The other Difference is in Radio button we cannot deselect but in checkbox, we can do both.

I have learnt about:-
> We always include headers to give instructions to client side the format of the page i.e text/html and then cleate the cgi-bin file to create api.
> Have also learnt to to create form including text, input bar, and to make the form dynamic have added fileStorage function to retrieve the value from webpage and do the respective operation then give output to the client side.
> Have created input of varios times with <input> tag taking the types as:-
text, radio, checkbox
> have used <br /> tag to break the line, by default the next line is considered as space in html webpage.
> Learnt to bold <b> <b/> and underline <u> <u/> the text
> have learnt to create form including all these type inputs to make the webpage dynamic.
> Also created submit button using <input type="submit"> tag,
> To integrate the other page with the form to do operation on the values provided we have included an action= "url of the program" to the form> tag.
> The data must be transfer using some variable for this have to associate every input a name="variable".
> Radio button use concept of variable i.e takes one input at a time and checkbox use the array concept in taking values so one can select many option in that case.

In static we use input( ) function to take inputs from the user and everything is local here.

-webservers never executes the code, they sent the exact code to the client

Create a web app dynamically

*static page ( we can see the output of content)
*web page (detail concept of web app and Web page)
* header and body ( in client side browser see a code and understand first line of code's header and after new line body of the code starts.)
*prompting (see the user need on the webpage by using fieldstorage)

*html(crate a page which is more interactive for user and html is a clint side language.

The session was good and I learned so many new things like:
1. the best way to learn about technologies is to dive into it then understand what is the core and how this technology work.
2. we revise the set up that we have create in last class which has one webserver running, one api created.
3. if we want to connect our mobile phone with this webserver the we need to know the location of the webserver which is nothing but the IP address. This ip is a site where we stores the webpages so this is also called a website.
4. the page that we store at this may contain some pure text data or have some codes. If the pages has only text data then these pages are called static webpages and if the page contains codes which is used in creating some application then these pages are called webapp. The codes written in some language which is called server side language.
5. we do revision of the file that we have created in cgi with some basic concept like #!, headers, how data interperted by the browser.
6. the cgi webapp(webpages) that we have created till is static page but now we are going to create dynamic page by providing the capability to ask to the user. The input to the python program varies with the screen where program is running as in if we are running program on cli/terminal/console then we need to use input function or if we are working with cgi or some kind of ui then we need to use fieldstorage function.
7. about one setup where we have one server running on linux and the clients are using some kind of browser. The clients providing the input to the browser which is sent to the server using some netwoking protocol and the server replies to that particular request.
8. if we want that user must provide some input then we need to create some type of input box and these boxes are create by using the HTML.
9. we learnt some basic that how we can create a html page it is nothing but a document with some formatting and understand that whatever we write in page exactly same code is sent to the browser and browser runs the code in formatted way by the its interperter.
10. We used b, u elements in html code then we create our required html page where we leart about input boxes which has default nature is text then we created boxes for entering the name as a text, password as type password and one for submit button.
11. we create radio button and checkboxes and found that we can also select mulitple options in radio button. We understand if we want to store some data we need variables then we move to the concept of forms in html and use variables to store and send data from form.
12. we proivde our cgi url inside the form action so that when we submit the for it will send the data to the cgi program and to store the data in cgi program we need to use the fieldstorage function.
13. if we want to use the FieldStorage function then we need to import one module called cgi and to retrieve the stored value we need to use getvalue method. Here we modified our cgi code in such a way that if we can input the linux command it run and print the output of code.
14. finally we understand the difference between Radio button and checkbox is that the variable for the radio button holds only one value at time but the variable for the checkbox can store list of values.

1) Discussed about the previous sessions topics like webapp, webpages, website, IP.
2) Lesrned how to integrate python with the frontend/html webpage.
3) In webapp we have a field storage function which will prompt user on browser or webpage to input.
4) Learned that in html language is to create the webpages and to display different things.
5) In html to format the things we have function and normally these functions are called as element in html. All the browser has the html interpreter.
6) Learned that the entire webpage code is send to the client by the server. We can see the source code.
7) In html we can use break (<br>) element for new line. For input box so that user can enter the input we have the element input. By default the type of input is text. So we change the type to password and submit also.
8) Now if we have a multiple options to give to the user then we have radio and check box buttons. So we have to write whats the type the input is.
9) Learned that We get the information or data from user and store that into a variable so that at the time retrieving the data we could use the variable.
10) So in input elemet we have name using which we can create a variable for that particular input data. Also if we want to send whole data then we put that data into a box called form. So in html we have form element.
11) Learned that after we press the submit button the data goes through the url to the webserver or cloud or any other page. So we have to tell form where to go and by default form will be in the current webpage only or current url only. So in form we have action keyword using which we tell form to go where
12) Learned that we give the url of our webapp to the action keyword in the form so all the data is passed or send to it.
13) And as data is coming from the Network or url then we have to use the field storage function to retrieve the data from the url of the webpage.
14) In python we use " " " comment " " " for multi line comment.
15) The module called cgi has the field storage function so we have to import the cgi module.
16) Now we have a function in python which will get data from a particular field called getvalue().
17) Backend developers create the variable as per the requirement and tell the frontend developer to use those variables only for the necessary things.
18) Difference between the radio button and check box button is that the radio button has a normal variable type but the checkbox variable is of list type. So in the radio button with single variable we can't store multiple values but through checkbox we can. This is all i learned in this session.
