i watched this movie as a kid with my father. He saw it when it came out in 1952. He said its one of the best 100 movies of the world. After watching this ( i watched it already 5 times) i said:"for me its one of the best films i've ever seen in my live"!

Saw this at the movies in black & white. Never forgot that theme song! It'll drill a hole right through your heart.

Great song in a great western plus an impossibly beautiful Grace Kelly. What more could you want in a film?

This is another one of those brilliant movies from way back that you could watch every second
and not take your eye off. Could you do that today, I don’t think so.

The talent in this Ritter family is phenomenal. Tex's grand children are all making their marks in their fields now, including Carly Ritter who is an incredible country singer herself. Exciting stuff to come from the new generation of Ritters.

Superb movie! Great theme song by the one and only, Tex Ritter! Unfortunately, movies like this are no longer made. Which I guess is good because there are only a handful of actors who could give a performance worthy of the genre!

A magnificent production, every part of it top notch-story, acting, song, singer, remarkable how good something can be with raw talent.

This remains a gem* of a song, {and I am so happy I was introduced to it years prior}...what endears me continually is the guitar playing too; especially, as the song reaches its ending, with Tex Ritter's emphasis!~ 💚*

As a young lad in the late 1950's, I had the chance to see Tex perform at a cheesy grocery store opening in Mesquite, Texas was considered a big star and a couple of hundred people from all around showed up.

Don't forget Lon Chaney Jr. (Wolfman), nominated for best supporting actor. A great cast of actors.
