I am constantly being shown 90's style clothing from Tilly's and Amazon from my girls. If only I had kept all my high school clothing, I could save so much money.

I freaking love your daughter's presentations!

I was a boy in the 90s. My dad always made me go back to school shopping. I hated the fitting rooms and having my mom pull on the waist of pants to make sure they fit. Then you got to try on shoes with the parent finger test behind your heel to make sure they were big enough. I never really got what I wanted because my parents wanted me to look nice.

When I got married we went to Macy's for jeans. When I was single, I just found my size and bought them. My wife made me try them on, and then she did the waist check thing. I laughed and said "thanks mom." She play wacked me and said, " I love you and want to make sure they fit. Also don't call me your mother." That's love right there.😅😅

My oldest, a girl, is a wonderfully lovable mix of both of these, somehow!

So spot on!!! Although it was switched when my kids were young. The boys were negotiators and my daughter didn’t really care.😂😂😂

That's spot on my boys. He's worn his hoodies all through the summer and refuses to get rid of his vans with the hole in them because they're perfectly broken in.

This is exactly my niece and nephew. Niece creates the PowerPoint and everything! School clothes, Christmas lists, all presentations...😂😂😂

My kids saved up for their middle & high sch 'back to sch' clothes ... we'd help a little-but that way, if either daughter or son wanted something pricey-it was mostly their own money😉. 2013 & 2016 had diverse shopping - either reg clothing stores or sometimes thrift shopping for 'vintage' type stuff! (or daughter 'borrowing' something of mine!)❤ Memories ....

because society expects women to be up-to-date in fashion and have all the latest and greatest items. It’s socially acceptable for men to just wear the same thing over and over again.

Yep! So true. So glad my kids school has a uniform or my boys would look homeless half the time.

My oldest and middle. Both girls. 😂😂 Youngest is still in "I have no opinions" and "please don't make me go shopping" mode (boy).

That tracks. My youngest has a definite sense of style, it's just thankfully not mainstream

Me and my mom decided it'd be best to js share our closet instead of buying me a whole new wardrobe lol, and it was my idea

My daughter is literally exactly like the „boy“ in your video…😂

It's crazy how well you described two of my kids. One is a 13-year-old boy, and one is an 11-year-old girl. The boy is so easy going that we have to force him to buy new clothes, but our daughter will do anything she can think of to get new clothes even hide her clothes and tell us she has nothing that fits so we will buy her new ones. Then we have a 10-year-old boy who is the most difficult.

The money you don’t spend on your son’s wardrobe can be reallocated to your daughter…yay, more to spend
