The text of the first master of Dagger vs. Sword in the Getty (Folio 19.r.a) reads thus:

Here begins the play of sword against dagger. The advantage is great, if you know what you are doing. Here the Master waits, in this guard called Dente di Cinghiaro. Whether it is against cuts or thrusts, I'll know how to be safe. I'll pass back with my right foot as I parry. I know close play by heart, and I cannot fail at it. Come on: attack me one by one. If you don't escape me, I'll mess you up as I turn around.

For emphasis, the 5th sentence reads " I'll pass back with my right foot as I parry. "

Question - Why have you omitted the pass back from your interpretation of the first play you show in this video?

Were you intending to show an actual interpretation of one of the plays or an additional way one of the plays could be done?

ALMOST got it!! Once you’ve made cover you’re pushing the sword to the incorrect side. Role the elbow up, and to the right and you have him in an arm bar.
