My in-flight skincare routine! It has been a while since we discussed this topic, but it’s starting to come up a lot again.

Here’s the thing, I do my full skincare routine BEFORE the flight. I pack on hydrating and moisturizing products, then top it all with sunscreen. The air is super dry on airplanes and when you do it while in-flight, then you’re already losing.

I love a good sunscreen for re-application like this EltaMD UV stick because it’s easy, moisturizing, and it isn’t greasy so my mask doesn’t stick to it. Your sunscreen is extra important in the air because UV rays that cause pre-mature aging are really intense up there. I also just had a TCA Peel doesn’t, so my skin is still peeling. That makes it extra important to protect my skin.

Last, I re-apply lip balm the entire time. Usually it’s NATURIUM Phyto-Glow Lip Balm in “clear,” but I had the color “Lychee” in my bag. It’s fine! Don’t freak out. The ingredients are the same except there’s a little color. It never smears with my mask on. Just gets on the inside a little.

I know some people will ask, “But what if it’s a really long international flight?” I always try to do an overnight flight, so I’ll have my skincare on, zero makeup or sunscreen, and just go to sleep. I keep Aquaphor, a rich moisturizer, and sunscreen with me in case I need to apply those.

Bruh UV Radiaton is only intense if u open ur window shutter. Just leave it closed and u dont need that thingie. The overall radiaton exposure on a plane is higher. Depending on the flight level and duration u receive about the dose u would receive when getting an X-Ray. So its perfectly safe.
