One of the most seamless videos of yours to watch.

“I stopped listening to my mind and started listening to the one thing no one else had access to. My heart.”

Thank you for inspiring creators of all sizes.

This is one of the greatest YouTube videos I've ever watched. The several small moments where the emotion in your voice comes out made me pause the video to take in the feeling. That feeling where you love something so much you start to tear up. I felt that. I can't wait for your influence to make those moments more common place for YouTube.

As a creator I have to adhere to formulas but I love breaking past that and trying something new. This is a great message for everyone 👌🏻.

As an editor myself. This hits me. Bringing the humanity and creative expression back into my videos has been such a prominent thing. Anyone can learn to cut footage and add cool effects from a preset pack. But it's what you do with the footage, it's how you orient it that makes the big differences. I think about a lot of these points and themes and wonder about my editing choices. but to have it said by you in this video is amazing to hear. You're an asset to this community man

I can say with absolute certainty, that this video is a masterpiece, Hillier has really surpassed the common editor, who only edits, cuts, pastes and adds transitions, he has surpassed the sophisticated editor that edits adds visual effects, he has even surpassed himself, since he discovered the most important thing about publishing and whatever profession you do, no matter what it is, the important thing is to do it from the heart. Thnx Hillier

How can a video on editing end up being so darn entertaining?
Everyone knows how good you are - but I’m going to say it anyways - you’re really good.
Beyond that - you’re inspirational and provide a goal to strive towards. My editing and content is a long ways from being a fraction of a part of a segment of this quality, but I take at least one thing from each of your videos - then come back for another.
So - basically- thank you!

I love how you started speaking slower, to allow us to feel your words and images and taking them all in. As an ex filmmaker and now biz coach, I recognize the genius in you. Storytelling is the most powerful thing every brand should master. Thank you.

1. Learn the "language" or rules of your art, like how it's usually done.
2. Make these rules second nature, so you can focus more on expressing your feelings through your art.

I hope you earn millions from this course, because that was a masterpiece in the very thing you were teaching. I laugh every time I watch a ‘how to get views on YouTube’ tutorial with 15k views, or ‘how to tell better stories’ tutorial which doesn’t take me anywhere. This however was the opposite, absolutely nailed the execution of very things you taught the viewer throughout.

I was going to make a joke about how the intro is too slow based for retention but honestly this video is to incredible to joke about. What you are saying in this video is what most creators/editors need to learn and understand. I've made films in the past and it honestly breaks my heart now seeing creators try to find a formula for storytelling, not for the sake of telling meaningful stories that they need or want to say but just to optimise for an AI algorithm.
I'm really excited to see what you have to say and teach in Creator Now.

I discovered this Channel over two years ago and am amazed at the progress you make. This is the editing style that propels what's always been the heart of YouTube. Not just the company or the algorithm, but the creators passion for filming.

This is the only person who motivates me enough to continue my passion of youtube after I hit countless roadblocks when I try to edit and come up with ideas for interesting editing content. So stoked for the classes coming up and 100% intend to learn as much as possible, thank you Hayden!
