Pokemon news has been lacking since the announcement of Pokemon Legends Z-A but recently GameFreak and The Pokemon Company have just given amazing news that is great to hear for the future of Pokemon. This is long overdue. I think GF and TPC finally hit a breaking point where they couldn’t maintain a minimum level of quality while still producing yearly releases. I’m personally thrilled that we’re getting a gap year this year. The last time that happened was 2015 and after that we got sun and moon which were a sizable step up from Gen 6.

Tbh I saw this coming. They were ONE more strike away from getting dogged on by Nintendo. Scarlet and Violet sold well, yeah, but Nintendo issued an apology on THEIR behalf, and frankly that’s embarrassing. They’ve been coasting on this annual release for so long it’s about time they step back and reevaluate what’s more important: quality

I think they are preparing for Gen 10 which is likely coming out on the year of the 30th anniversary of Pokemon

I’m gonna be honest it sounds like they are desperate for employees because either maybe they’re not going so cheap anymore and things won’t be as easy so maybe people quit or they just have a lack of people who have the motivation and skills for higher quality Pokémon games and that’s why they are hiring
