Just kidding about the mean looking teddy bear part. The bear turned out to be pretty lame, but it did show how the Add Nodes and Jitter Nodes extensions can be applied. Also used for a short time during the tutorial was the Bezier Tool and the Ellipse Tool.

Inkscape 0.48.2 was used in this video.

Really good job Byteweiser. I'll b tuning into u. I began with Inkscape a week ago, had never heard of it before that. I downloaded & leaped in at the deep end never thinking to look for tutorials. Somehow I managed to create a thing so bad & unusable I even amazed myself. Then I began actually working stuff out. Enough to be wowed. Your tutorial has opened so much up. It's like discovering an engine in your car after running around with your car held up like in the Flintstones.

Thanks to you, I was able to create two teddy bear characters for a children's story I have written. I am a novice on inkscape. Your tutorial saved me a lot of time. Just a few more illustrations from the prototype and that's it. Thank you very much for a clean and simple tutorial.

PS I followed your tutorial step by step and added heaps more to my bear, love the way such a simple beginning has turned into something really amazing! Would never have created what I have now without your tutorial.
