This is the most powerful object in the Universe. The biggest spinning magnet to ever exist.
It's the cosmic equivalent of a great white shark. But it wouldn't eat you. It would just turn all your atoms to dust... If you thought neutron stars were big and scary, well, you haven't heard of their more powerful stellar cousins yet. Like neutron stars, magnetars are leftovers from supernova explosions.

"Did you thought neutron stars are big and scary?" No they are small and scary

If it entered our Solar System it would destroy everything, you'd be literally ripped apart before you even realized what was happening most likely, so it'd be painless.

Is there a distance at which a planet could orbit a magnetar without being torn apart, but still be warm enough to sustain life?

I like the part when he showed it in our solar system.

So y'all saying a black hole could oust a magnetar? That would be interesting to see for sure

What if an asteroid hit a huge plane before it hit earth. What kind, if any, differences would it make?

It goes to show just how much more there must be to a star to become a black hole and the weight it must have to be over, does anyone know what is the mass needed for a star to reach the point where it doesn’t go supernova but collapses overcomes even time itself to an extent
