Have you travelled on Cunard? What cabin grade did you choose?

Great video Chris! I’m always in the cheapest cabin category and I love it. 🤣💕

Just completed a trans Atlantic crossing on the QM2 from Southampton to NYC which finished on May 1. We had a Brittania class sheltered balcony on deck 5. We felt we were treated like royalty.
Absolutely loved it. So much fun and very relaxing. Can't wait to do it again.

Traveled several times, all bar one have been on QM2... Only once in Queens Grill (was a short trip to Hamburg and got an interline rate so was cheap - otherwise it is way out of my budget!) and all other sailings in Britannia Balcony. Love the Cunard style, ambiance and service. Yes, traditional and some maybe think too old fashioned, but I love it. Also, I work in a very high end service orientated environment, and it makes a nice change for me not to be doing it and be on the other side of the coin!

First time on QM2 two weeks ago in steerage lol. The best I've seen, hardly any rats.

Even in Britannia class we are treated like first class passengers on Cunard. We have booked a cruise on Queen Elizabeth for this December, our last cruise being in March 2020. I can't wait! Thanks Chris.

Love your videos Chris. It looks like we are going on our first Cunard cruise at the end of the year on Queen Elizabeth. We will book Britannia grade balcony rooms. We thought long and hard about Queens Grill, but it's roughly double the cost so will have to wait for another time.

Our first trip on any ship was inside cabin TA crossing on QM2 in 2004. Next time we were surprisingly upgraded to an obstructed view balcony, although we were luckily between two lifeboats so actually had a little view. Since then we went almost every year on a balcony, either obstructed view or sheltered. Since we had two trips canceled by Cunard due to Covid and had to cancel this year’s trip due to a family illness, and Cunard has held our money for three years, we decided to go for it next year on a one week trip in Queens Grill, since we won’t notice the out of pocket too much. I’m sure it’s a once in a lifetime splurge but we’re happy enough with a balcony in the future.

Great video Chris! I hope to do a transatlantic cruise soon on Cunard. Britannia will likely be my choice!

Very well described Christ. But I can’t help pointing out that other lines now have different levels of accommodation with respective restaurant.

For instance, Celebrity Cruises has several levels such as standard cabins, then Concierge Class followed by Aqua Class with its Blu Restaurant, then Suites with Luminea Restaurant.

But myself, I am a true Cunard Line loyal passenger. Such heritage, tradition. But things are changing. Two formal nights rather then three on North Atlantic crossings. And I believe, if I am not mistaken, that jacquets are no longer required on informal evenings but quite not sure on this one.

One of my lecturers in the 90's worked as an engineer on the Queen Mary. I thought that it was an impressive boat to work on. I worked on Canberra as an engineer, so by today's standards, that's pretty old school. I do enjoy cruising as a passenger. I never thought I would, but it's different when you're a passenger.

Never been a person to like the "Class" system, Left England for California in 1981. Never heard that word again until I just watched your video. So" unclassy". Back to homeland for a vacation in 3 days, hope I don't hear that term again but I probably will. Only in England.

Fun fact, my great great great grandmother (i think that's the right amount of greats) survived the titanic sinking and then just missed out on being on the Lusitania that also sunk due to falling ill just before she was due to leave . I'm now travelling on another Cunard ship. Hope I'm not tempting fate.

Crossed many times on QEII. Queens Grill. Class is based on luxury of accommodation. Only real distinction was restaurant seating.
