It works if you use a carborundum slitting disc, just go real easy.

There's an article in Teslarati that says some YouTuber build his own Tesla solar roof panel by trimming tempered glass he got off of ebay. I don't believe it.

You have to tape the back, use a diamond bit and control the heat expansion.
