I don't think he was speaking about the poor as in physically poor but the poor in spirit the people that walk around feeling condemned feeling like there's nothing left that they've been stripped of everything . It's not about our financial gains but the spiritual gains, following Christ might not get you the fancy house here on this earth but one thing for sure you will feel the debt Jesus paid for you and your freedom in Christ is better than any man made house or financial earnings here on this earth . Thank you for spreading the good news of Jesus Christ our savior . Amen
