Power Clean from the Hang

This version of the power clean is done from the hang. When you lower the barbell down to just above the knees, imagine that you're doing a Romanian deadlift; focus on stretching the hamstrings. Then focus on "standing up" as explosively as possible. Use the explosive action of the legs and hips to give the barbell momentum upwards. The traps and arms do contribute to the pull, but only as the last moment, when the lower body already gave a lot of acceleration to the barbell. Avoid pulling with the arms before the legs produced their power upwards.

Not bad! This girl is pretty strong! I'm no expert on this movement and have a quick question on the execution... I notice she widened her stance to make sure she got under the bar. Is it not important to keep the knees over the toes or slightly wider for the sake of stability and power? In a power clean you are not supposed to really dip under the bar, hence the power clean, not a full clean, right? However, would one use slightly less weight to avoid that or dip a few inches to be in a better receiving position? if that is an issue at all?

Thanks!
