My Wife and I went to school for Natural Resources and she had a real country girl for a roommate.
This lady was something special we used to call her “Jackie Queen of the Rednecks”, as she was head of the Fish and Wildlife club and every cowboy at that college would try and get in her good graces.
Every time I hear this song I think to myself…that could be her.
So moving and emotional 😭

I can’t believe it has already been nearly 3 years since Horses and Hounds was released. The album is nothing short of a masterpiece, great that he’s still getting traction with recordings like this.
