Once was at a sale where reseller picks up a watch..new...great brand, but I’ve forgotten what it was. Price was $10, he offered the young lady five...she tells him no....he continues holding the watch, wandering around...offers five again....once again she tells him no, she’s not going to take less. I’m watching the entire he offers the same...she’s getting frustrated and is showing signs of stress....she tells him she definitely is not going to take less, as he continues to walk around with the watch in his hand. I had seen enough. This idiot reseller was willing to make this young girl cry to save a couple of dollars, so I talk really loud to her and tell her if he doesn’t want that watch, I will buy it at her price. He was steaming as he walked toward her and in his outstretched hand was a ten dollar bill. As he passed me, he said under his breath, “ You took away all my negotiating power.” I told him his negotiating was over the first time she told him NO. I may have been in the wrong ( I don’t think I was, ) but boy it felt good!!

You are such a good person, Taco that’s one reason why I’m so dedicated to your channel! You are so thoughtful when you are garbage picking putting items back after you pick out what you want you straighten things up!

Been trying to teach my 14 year old daughter that when we’re at the bin stores or thrifting. If you something you like pick it up. You can always put it back down later. But once you walk away from an item it’s fair game.

One of my pet peeves is rudeness. I've been in more than one situation at garage sales where I am approaching a random box-o-stuff only to have some inconsiderate "person" rush in from behind me pushing me aside to grab the goods. Some people act like their lives depend on getting another person's junk when there is tons of junk out there for everyone to enjoy. You learn if you've seen it once more than likely you will see it again.

I agree, if you don't have a hand on the item, it's still up for grabs. Same rule at the thrift store.

There is an art to negotiating prices. Usually I never like to State a price, but sometimes I'll say, "you take a dollar for this?" One time I bought a first edition hardback and paid $1 and then resold it for $175. That felt pretty good and I'm sure the buyer sold it for a lot more.

With all that land around your home you could have a great garden. It's very easy. Just sun and water. And some good plant food

Nice deal on all those plants. Very nice stock. In future, avoid buying the ones with the most blooms. What you want is a nice healthy plant with lots of leaves, but only a flower or two to confirm that it's the color you want. Annuals like this have x number of blooms in their lives, so you don't want someone else to have enjoyed a bunch before you get them. Also, they will transplant better when they aren't quite so far along.

1:09 on the timestamp there is a red 1970s fisher price happy apple next to the play cash register. Always grab those, they sell for a between 20-80 on Etsy depending on condition. Great video - thank you!

You are such a smart, level-headed person for not engaging with that dimwit who wanted that anvil too. I have never seen that kind of behavior before so when you explained it I was shocked. Have fun planting the garden. Be sure to keep an eye on it. Those floppy ear critters and the Bambi kids and the certain butterflies like basil. Plant the marigolds by the tomatoes. Somehow they protect them from some kind of insect. It’s been a few years since we planted a garden, but we live out like you with the gravel driveway, the oil furnace, cold old country house so I know what it’s like with bugs and floppy-ear beasts wandering around the premises. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Possession is 9/10s of the law, lol. in the hand means you intend on purchasing it . On the table means it's still for sale, unless it's marked " sold" .

Not gonna lie, I’ve lost out of a few items that way when I tried to use that style of buying. Now I pick up and ask. If it’s not in hand (or in a pile/cart) it’s fair game in my opinion, which is how I approach all purchasable items.

I need to go there but it would cost me a fortune in gas just to save on the plants. I paid $4 for one small tomato plant. I don’t even eat them I grow them to give away lol. Oh well keep up the great pickin you know your deals!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!! ❤️

I saw a 10 round Short Magazine Lee Enfield rifle magazine at a SF flea market. I got over to the table and grabbed that thing tight. I found the guy and gladly paid him $10 for it. They were $40 at gun shows but are now $50, or more. At another flea market I saw a vintage Aurora Thunderjet HO slot car. I snatched that up before I could even ask how much. It was $2.00, yes, TWO DOLLARS!!! I didn't want two show my enthusiasm for the item but I nearly threw the $2 at him. Its a three axel stake bed vintage slot car truck, worth far more than the $2 I paid considering what I see common Aurora Slot Cars go for online.
Yeah, latch on, don't let go, unless it's stupid expensive.

Totally agree with that statement you made about not leaving merch on the table.

One time years ago I was at Savers and this one regular who was always fairly nice to me saw me grab a couple of bags hanging from the pegs in the toy section. They were filled with packs of Nintendo Kid Icarus AR cards. When I grabbed them, she told me "Oh yeah, I was looking at those." She did not say she was considering buying them. Simply that she was looking. I said "They're cheap, I'll take a chance." and threw them in my basket.

Next time I see her I was grabbing stacks of Nintendo DS games that had just come out. She saw what was happening from afar and came running down the aisle screaming "Go ahead! Grab em all! Just like how you grabbed those cards from me last time!" I was like the cards? She said "I told you I was looking at them!" I'm thinking so what? I pulled them off the peg myself. They were right in front of me. She was 3 feet away. In my opinion, looking at something does not correlate to wanting to buy.

I was tripping out. I never spoke to her again since that terrible experience.

Another nice flea market trip, I liked the tea pots at the beginning. What are those flowers blooming on the hill behind you at the end?
