The way you try to find solutions to questions that you do not know is so German😂You know the answer, you think too much and then you give the wrong answer. But you already know a lot👏👏👏

You are really good! Not every German would be able to answer all the questions!

You actually can be very proud of yourself! I am Austrian and didn't get every answer right. Like your videos very much! Like your attitude! Like your humour! You are such a friendly, humble guy, but often strict with yourself. You are smarter than you think, I can tell as a mother of three adult sons.

Seriously Ryan, you did extremely well with the bordering countries question! Usually Americans wouldn't even know one of them!

Good on ya!

The question about the Worldcup? My Head immediately started this one song (other Germans know which one) that starts with '54, so I had that answer down fast XD

I wonder if any American would feel offended if someone skipped the Star-Spangled Banner at the start of a quiz about the USA :D

The Alemanni or Alamanni were a confederation of Germanic tribes on the Upper Rhine River during the first millennium.

What helps with geographical questions is having a system.
Like going around the shape of the country clock-wise and then naming the countries you traverse through in the process.

Still, you knew most of them, very good knowledge there. 👍

If you want to know more about Bohemia today, you want to visit Prague and the regions around it.

13:35 If we want to be really nitpicking, it's 2014. The name "FIFA World Cup" was not used before 1994. The 1966 tournament, the only one in an English speaking country before 1994, was officially named Football World Championship 1966. Before the U.S. tournament, the official name of the championship was "Football World Championship" in the respective language of the host country. The 1998 tournament in France was the first one where the official name was not in the native tongue of the host.

Bohemia as well as Silesia and Moravia (In German: Böhmen, Schlesien, Mähren) are Eastern European regions where German settlers settled in medieval times. They were recruited by monarchs because after wars, famines, plagues etc. they needed farmers. For example, the town of Gablonz (now Jablonec nad Nisou), known for glass making, especially jewelry, was predominantly German. After World War II, all Germans had to leave these regions that are now part of the Czech Republic or Poland.

You might know that already, but we Germans pronounce BMW like Bay Em Way. And the e in Porsche is not silent. 😀

Bonn is not only known for Haribo but also for eggnog from Verpoorten. Here are the headquarters of Telekom and DHL/Deutsche Post. Bonn is also a university city, and 26 UN organizations have their headquarters here, and Bonn is also the second official residence of the Federal President. Bonn also has a basketball team: Telekom Baskets Bonn.
And last but not least: Bonn is the birthplace of Beethoven
