I think Apple have really good products, but the lack of customization and the ultra overpriced products ( iPhone 6 16gb = R$ 3, 199.90 = US$ 1264, 42 ) here in Brazil, makes me thinks twice if its really worth it...

First had a Galaxy S3, then got a Nexus 4, then had a One Plus One and sold it. Was looking at the Nexus 6, but I've decided and just ordered an iPhone 6 for myself. They both have their pros and cons, maybe just get it through your thick skulls that no one phone is going to satisfy everybody. There are so many reasons people get the phone they get. The talk of bashing on a particular phone is pointless, honestly. Talk about being close-minded. Then again it's in internet culture to argue about pointless things isn't it?

They diserve it definitely. While other companies copy eachother with designs specs and screens apple makes that one unique product that always delivers a smooth, relable experience

I think its a mix of both well deserved success, and marketing hype, but they do make nice products. Apples strategy of perfecting only two phones every year is much better than making dozens of phones that are half baked. Which is why I like that htc takes apples route and focuses on their One series to make it awesome.

I find it very important for people to know that Apple controls hardware and software on their devices. This means, whenever a security flaw is discovered in the operating system, Apple can quickly issue a fix to every iOS or Mac device. This cannot be found in other platforms as of right now. It is also important to know that Apple provides us with high quality products that run well and are easy to use. Sure some people might argue that iOS is limited compared to Android but when you really think about it, Apple takes their time to add in these features to make sure we get the best experience possible (all things considered).

It's actually a very simple concept. Great products combined with the best customer service equals a $700 billion valuation. The competition can't get that right yet.

Apple goes for quality over quantity and that's a good thing, they deserve to be at the top of the table. But if there was a sense of unity in android, where every OEM would keep true to stock android, then android too would deserve to be the apex company. Just to avoid hate I'm gonna add that I've only owned android phones and I'm currently rocking a nexus 5. Peace

I don't get how apple releases a phone like the iPhone 6 which adopted features that were available on the nexus 4 (in 2012) like NFC, 1080p and a 4 inch screen gets so much praise while when Samsung released the galaxy alpha with a 1080p display it got so much hate.

It should be both - marketing hype for a good product. Focusing on one thing and doing it very well - this is one of the major points for success in any field.
