New LED Headlight install for the M8 LOW RIDER S (low rider build series ep23)

So what do you guys think of this headlight? Initially I really like it! Time will tell if the light handles the elements good but I have very high hopes. I put a JW Speaker adaptive headlight on my FXLRS and here is what I learned in my experience. JW Speaker makes the stock HD headlights. The JW Speaker headlights are DOT approved which means the brightness is controlled and within DOT approved specs. Most Chinese headlights will be brighter because they are not built to DOT specs. HD uses a proprietary mount which is approx 1.5 inches wide; the universal standard for headlight mounting is 3/4 inch. In my case I ordered a spare HD headlight mounting bracket and took it to a local machinist and had him cut it down to 3/4 inch. It keeps the replacement headlight in the same location as stock that way no adapters needed. The JW Speaker headlight comes without a plug (just wire pigtail). I used one of the 3 to 4 wire (like you said, $10 or so) adapters to get a 4 wire plug and wired it directly to the JW Speaker headlight and plug directly into the stock wiring. The HD headlight mount was right around $60 if I remember correctly (may have been less); machining it to 3/4 inch cost me around $35. I did have to get a shorter bolt to mount the headlight; was a couple of bucks at Home Depot for a stainless cap screw (hexhead so looks stock) and I used the stock nut. Oh yes; the JW Speaker headlight does not fit in a lot of headlight buckets (the stock headlight is not in a bucket either) and does not require one. I tried a Streetbob bucket and it was too small (not sure about other buckets). That said enclosing these LED lights hampers their cooling and will likely shorten their lives anyway.
