I lost my mom to cancer in May of last year after a seven year battle. She was my best friend in the whole world, and I miss her every day. This song, while not an exact representation of a non-romantic relationship, means so much to me. I listen to it often and it gives me comfort as I continue to mourn. Thank you! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this song. It's a rare song that comes along and changes your life when you hear it. And may it bring the same comfort to others who have lost someone, in whatever form that loss takes.

The modern world teaches us to be independent, to live alone, to handle everything alone and it teaches you that you are always alone. But no!

Independence doesn't mean you don't let people help you. It means to be capable enough to help yourself when people don't.

And if you won't love someone, how can you ever see the everglow?

I note the haunting beauty of the music, the lyrics and the figure skater -- she does not need to jump, she does not need to spin much, she just needs to emote, interpret and be creative on her blades, with her picks, her hands and fingers, her head, her arms, her joy of movement and dance. So I was reading an analysis of the video. It's about the background of this video which is the story between this ice-skater and her partner (Lover) "G&G". So later her lover died. And she began to do this alone. As you can see, there are some moves that can't be done by one person. Anyway, it's more about this tragic love story behind the scene.(Sry about my poor English skill😅)

I have seen all the versions of this song. But this has to be the most beautiful and in depth interpretation. It is rather brave to choose to continue dancing alone, but she did it so beautifully because her partners everglow was with her. Lifting her up, pushing her, till she finishes the song. Eyyy that's life for you. Not all people stay. Sometimes you get left behind. So you move on. But you never stop dancing, with that beautiful everglow.

I discovered Everglow only about 3 months ago, while I was going through a rough patch in life. Lots of letting go, and a few steps forward to new, unfamiliar directions. While braving through, I made many playlists to help me calm down whenever I had/have bad days. This song is in the top five of one of those playlist. My 3 AM playlist. Music really does save lives! This song is for all the people I have loved and lost, the people who chose to stay, the people who touched my heart and influence my life, and for all the people I want to hold onto. For all the people who left a piece of their beautiful everglow in me.

This is one of those rare songs which make you think deep about yourself and loved ones. It makes you sit still and creates a lump in throat because you're about to cry. I have lived with my family since my birth and I am in my early 20s. Being an Indian, it's not a big deal that you live with your parents in your 20s. And this song, created flashbacks in front of my eyes about how they have raised me. I really hope everyone, everyone have healthy relationships with their loved ones. Life is short for real but love, only love can make it longer.

This song is already sad. But the way its interpreted in this video makes it cut deeper. Even tho the partner of the ice skater is not there anymore, he/she left an incredible everglow that helps the skater maneuver thru ice/life. On the cold ice, that everglow warms and lights the way. That everglow lifts the skater up and helps her thru the hardest challenges. Just like when someone very dear to us, has to leave forever. The inevitable goodbye. We are left with their bitter sweet "everglow" 💫💫💫
