What is Batman's contingency plan for Batman? The Dark Knight is known for having a contingency plan for every member of the Justice League. When Superman asks Batman what his plan is for himself, he responds by saying the Justice League. However, Bruce kept the real truth hidden.

In Batman Number 127 the real answer is finally revealed. After Penguin staged his death to make it look as though Batman murdered him. This inadvertently activated the AI robot known as Failsafe. Failsafe is an android that was created with the directive to terminate Batman. Bruce designed it with his own moves and tactics so the android could easily counter him at every turn. The android possesses superhuman strength, super speed, flight, and many other abilities that allow him to easily overpower the Dark Knight.

To make it even more foolproof, Batman constructs the android using his darker, more psychotic alter ego known as Zur-En-Arrh, which is buried deep in his subconscious. Bruce also removed his memories of building the robot so that he wouldn't know how to defeat it. Failsafe turned out to be the perfect contingency plan to take down a rogue Batman.

Yeah, but he had a contingency plan for a situation where he removed his own memories regarding how to defeat the android that he built incase he went crazy and needed to be defeated, a plan that even HE HIMSELF didn’t even know about!

And of course he had a contingency plan for that scenario as well, which then in turn allowed the android to come out victorious and kill him.

Man I hate Failsafe this idea has already been done to death in Tower of Babel. Also I feel like he didn't learn his lesson. In Tower of Babel, Batman learned one of his biggest issues was not trusting others, and he should have told Justice Leage about it, but no, he kept it to himself and gets the Justice League hurt. Also the contingency stuff was never meant to be a positive or ability for Bruce it was supposed to be a flaw.

I think it’s pretty lame that in a world full of super powered heroes that dc has shown time and time again to be ineffective at taking down Batman, the thing that they show to be able to rival Batman is a robot
