Y'know, after all these years it just occured to me that in this scene, Shadow has NO fucking clue what Mephiles is talking about when he says things like "Did you forget me?" and "Oh, how ironic fate can be! I never believed I would have been resurrected through YOUR shade!" because of all the time travelling stuff not happening yet. So Shadow's point of view of this cutscene just consists of:

-Random dude takes the form of his Shadow.
-Says some wacky shit about being resurrected through Shadow's "shade" before thanking him, addressing him by NAME.
-Refuses to elaborate.
-Leaves.

a really ironic detail about these two is that when shadow met mephiles for the first time, shadow didn't know who mephiles was but mephiles knew who shadow was. and when mephiles met shadow for the first time in aquatic base, mephiles didn't know who shadow was but shadow knew who mephiles was. As Mephiles says, fate really is ironic

I don't know why, but Mephiles's voice tone is quite soothing to me, making me unafraid of him despite his unsettling nature...

1. His original Form is the black dark matter of liquid
2. His Shadow Form
3. His Monstrous From
4. & Final His Crystal Form.

It's extremely unnerving to hear Yami Yugi's voice dripping with such sadism and evil and watching Mephiles' zombie-like approach towards Shadow.

Something I like about when Shadow was well written

He immediately chooses to save Rouge (even tho she can fly) instead of grabbing the sceptre of darkness, current Shadow (depending on the writer) probably would've grabbed the sceptre first thing

Tho Rouge's reaction to being socked in the face could've gotten a bigger reaction than "ah"

Mehpiles is definitely one of my all time favorite villains in the Sonic 06 video game and Dan Green did a fantastic job of voicing the character perfectly 👍🖤

I think we should realize the fact that we never knew why the world (even Omega) considered Shadow the cause of Iblis's return, Mephiles even talked about everyone going to consider him an enemy to everyone, also the fact that Omega was deactivated in Crisis City in Shadow's story it tells us that the hedgehog defeated the robot, having no choice but to disable his friend for helping humanity and not believing in him. I think this makes it clear to us that the script for Sonic 06 was never finished correctly, this also shows it with Silver and Elise, since both could have had a better participation in the story (more Sonic than Elise in Sonic's story).
