Jurors see graphic video of Parkland school shooting

Jurors in the penalty trial of Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz viewed graphic video Tuesday of him murdering 17 people as he stalked through a three-story classroom building at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School four years ago.

I don't see why jurors have to decide on the sentence. Isn't this supposed to be done by the judge? I mean, doesn't the law describe the penalty for each offense and the combined offenses? This should be an easy case, it's the death penalty 17 times!!!

There is a common misconception that mental health = violence and unfortunately that’s not the case. While some killers show psychotic traits that doesn’t mean they struggled with mental health there whole life and it’s not the case for everyone. Mr.Cruz truly understood his actions and did it out of spite, in his interview he pretended to be crazy but as you can see he’s not a good actor. He doesn’t care who does and doesn’t believe him. If he was to actually be going through anything at all he could of helped himself and so can the school. There is never a reason for this, ever. Even when mental health goes as far as to the end point where some people have their break it’s usually internally. Why didn’t he just kill himself? It’s because he wanted to do this and he’ll use any crutch he can to try to live as long as he can. He is truly evil.

Just like any other shooters who goes on a rampage at schools, churches, malls and many other places that took so many victims lives away from their families and friends that no other penalties that they may given to this young man either life or death sentence could never bring them back but he definitely deserve to be punished no doubt about that.
