Was today the perfect day in Tokyo, Japan? It definitely was a contender. We went to Tokyo Tower, we bought some lucky boxes, we played some Japanese Kuji lotteries, and we even went to a themed café! Today was a lot of fun all over Tokyo!

About Angel & Cris:
We love to eat, travel, and play games! It is always fun and exciting to travel to someplace new. We never know what kind of fun experiences await us when we are traveling. We love to try new food and new versions of all the food we already enjoy to eat! Arguably, the best part of traveling is finding new games to play! If you like any of these things, be prepared to have FUN!

So Tokyo Tower opened in 1958 and is actually taller than the Eiffel Tower as the Eiffel Tower is 300 m while Tokyo Tower is 333 m tall! However, Tokyo Tower only weighs about 4, 000 tons, 3, 300 less than the Eiffel Tower! Tokyo Tower exists because the Japanese government didn't want transmission towers all over Tokyo, so the solution was build one large broadcasting tower, on top of the government wanting a monument to symbolize its post-World War II recovery! Tachū Naitō, who built other broadcasting towers including Tsutenkaku in Osaka in 1956, was chosen to design the newly proposed tower. Naitō claimed his design could withstand earthquakes with twice the intensity of the 1923 Great Kantō earthquake or typhoons with wind speeds of up to 220 kilometers per hour (140 mph). Tokyo Tower is painted international orange and white to comply with air safety regulations!

The Zōjō-ji temple's Sangedatsumon (main gate) is the oldest wooden building in Tokyo, dating from 1622! The original buildings of the temple complex were destroyed by fire, natural disasters or air raids during World War II. The temple is notable for its relationship with the Tokugawa clan, the rulers of Japan during the Edo period, with six of the Tokugawa shōguns being buried in the Taitoku-in Mausoleum in the temple grounds! Also, the Pokémon that Angel got is called Espurr, a Psychic-type from Kalos that evolves into Meowstic! The guy's reaction to you winning was so wholesome!

Great video, I really love you Japan video tour there is really a lot to discover and hidden gems in Japan. That you find nowhere else in the world feels like so much fun and nostalgic . They take things to a whole new level even the simple things . Makes me want to visit those places and experience it for myself. Lots of love and blessings.

I was shocked to see that Japan has pressed penny machines. I have a large collection of hundreds of different pressed pennies from around the USA. My oldest pressed penny is from the 1917 Worlds Fair. You both did very well with the mystery boxes; the Snoopy tote bags are super cute and I'm happy that you got a yellow ticket. I wish the USA had Kuji to play, both the Sanrio and Pokemon one had fantastic prizes. There are so many great things to see and do in Japan. I was excited to hear that they have a Tom & Jerry Cafe but the menu really wasn't that great. The cheesecake was adorable with Jerry's bottom on top! lol
