I really prefer this car over the BMW 7 Series from a test drive.. The design is obviously not crazy as what the controversial BMW 7 Series, I'm not a fan of everything put into the infotainment in the BMW 7 Series where even the light controls are embedded into the infotainment and buried within a menu... Less buttons make it not too pratical for a vehicle. This S- Class sure does have some things in the infotaiment but most nessessary essential familar on-demand features are there and pretty easy to execute. The S-Class even drives more softer than the BMW 7 Series. Once again, personal preference, although the S-Class does set the benchmark once again not completely digitizing every button unlike what BMW does.

Cozy insulated feel aside, I like to hear what's going on around me, on the road, not on some opera replay. Seems to me, people are going a bit nuts over "sound systems" and "infotainment screens". I don't want to confuse an ambulance siren behind me with something on some "hit song" sound-track. I want to hear every horn honk, the sound of an engine 20 feet off my rear bumper, a tack that lodged in my tire tread ... etc.. I'm on the streets to get from one place to another, aware of what's going on around me.

I have had this car for over a month now. Previous was the 2020 S560. I've had the Lexus LS460, BMW 7-series, etc... This one BLOWS THEM ALL AWAY. My only gripe is the doors open pretty far. It's not a problem for me as I'm 6'2" with long arms. But my wife is 5'4" and she really has to lean wayyyy forward to close the door if it's fully open. They need a button to close it or bring it closer so someone can easily grab it.

My brother got his in November and it has already been in the dealer for a month awaiting a new computer for a phantom check engine light. It sat in the Baltimore port for many weeks before MB would authorize even releasing it for 2024.

Does this car comes with HUD or off when you test drive the car ? I didn’t see it, if it does that’ll be the dealbreaker. A car of this type flagship of MB should’ve been equipped with the option.

I know an attorney who does personal bankruptcies. He said he can’t count how many times people buy a MB only to have some super expensive repairs done that sets off a chain of financial problems leading to a bankruptcy. Don’t ever ever buy a used MB with high mileage!
