That hits so deep because I know that no matter what happens to me in life, where I go or who I meet, my big brother will always be there to help me.

I cry everytime I hear this song because my brother killed himself about 4 years ago and I think about how I might've been able to change the outcome. He was my best friend we would play tag and hide and seek outside in the summer time. Eventhough he was kinda annoying sometimes he was still the best brother I could have ever asked for. Sometimes I blame myself and other times I blame my parents...they kicked him out of the house when he was 15 because they got sick of him and his anger issues..but he came back after a few months and after he came back it just went all downhill. Him and my dad would fight every day and night..I never got any sleep so then I started sleeping in class and I would fail assignments because I wasn't paying attention. I would come home after an extremely stressful day at school and I would get yelled at by my mom for failing...after the lectures I would see my dad and my brother fighting and sometimes it wasn't just yelling it got physical and i was always terrified...I always tried to remember the good times I had with him even when he was screaming and trembling with anger...the cops got called because of noise complaints I tried telling them what was happening but they didnt believe me because who would believe a 7 year old. After that it gets all fuzzy but the things I remember where it was about 3ish and I was playing with my toys in the living room and I heard glass break I got scared and decided to see what it was I then saw my brother walking down stairs with a gun (we have a gun case in my parents room) and my mom was in the kitchen at the time. I dont remember what they said it was just a lot of yelling...eventually my brother put the gun to his head and my mom was going to call the cops but he threatened to shoot himself right then and there so she put the phone down and he put the gun down. Right before he walked out of the house he said to me:"I'm sorry tabitha but its my time to go, love ya" And he smiled...(I didnt understand at the time I was only 8). Then he left, got in his car and left. He drove down the street and crashed into a tree about a 5 minute walk away from our house and that was the last time I ever saw him...

I have a younger brother who suffers autism, He often got bullied and picked on and I’m the only one who could be there to help him. My brother was a Gift more likely a blessing from God, And I’ll risk my life to make sure he’ll always get back on his feet.
