Meteor hits my car!

Pretty sure a meteor hit my car this morning on the way into work on M55.

At first I thought the spacerock came from the 'Highway Maintenance' van going past... But the more I watch it the more I think it came from the sky...

Where do you think the rock came from?!

The same thing happened to me! I was walking under an apple tree and a large thing hit me in the head. The only logical thing would be a meteor

Probably came from the bridge, if not, it's from the opposite traffic. The trajectory is too high to be from the truck yet the angle is too low to be from a meteor. If you still had the rock you could get it looked at to be sure, though.

mostly just a rock or pebble/debris from the road. A meteor that small would.burn up even before it enters the atmosphere

My wife and sister in law saw a meteorite hit the ground in a field (well that is what a meteorite is). It was incredibly fast, blasted the ground and one could see the streak of light as it came down.

That wasn't a meteor, it was an asteroid. You can tell the difference by remembering this neat trick - a meteor has one hump, where as an asteroid has a firebox, dining car, and ticket collector.

I once saw a meteor land in a pond. Funny thing is, it happened at almost the exact same time I threw a pebble in.

I've seen these rocks from the road fling up and curve so much they basically curve around cars in front of you and hit you. Came from the truck or the opposite traffic lane.
