This episode really emphasizes how African kids are raised to not have an opinion and to just sheepishly follow everything there parents say (because apparently parents know best and are perfect beings). How can a mother be giving her daughter advice to stay with a man who cheated on her? Like do you want your child to be unhappy? All because of traditions? In case some haven't noticed, these traditions are so misogynistic, sexist and the double standards is unreal! If Obi was the one that cheated on that man they won't be talking it out, instead she'll be labeled harlot and degraded to the max. Traditions are good, but as we evolve, we should also be able to see the errors in some of these traditions and let them go!

Scene with the parents is too real. Too close to home. Having visceral reactions. OMG. You did well writers. No one ever thanks the writers, but from one writer to another, that scene was real and powerful. The acting is phenomenon as well.

"The boy made a mistake...as men do" 😠I hate how we keep making excuses for men behaving this way...ahn ahn so its normal to commit adultery abi? Will this same reaction surface if women make the same mistake? This ain't right

I'm so moved by this episode especially the family scene. It's amazing how Nigerian parents think, talking about not divorcing and encouraging a 2nd wife. What arrant rubbish? A lot of us talk about encouraging women to be strong n independent and then they turn around and try to demean women. I don't understand it. Please she should leave him and never look back.

It is a privilege to understand both the Igbo and Yoruba languages. Some drama are better enjoyed in the primary language/medium expressed. lol.

I love her mum and the way she switches between Ibo and English language. Nigerian languages are so lovely.

To be an African woman in this century is something o. I hope an pray our mothers don't lead us astray in their plight to lead us right. Imagine the advice to accept second wife just like that even w/o the man being sober or remorseful about his mistake, we are expected to bear the brunt of our husbands foolishness and live with it but the same advice will never be given to a man. Imagine the case reversed, Obi will be thrown out of the house w/o a second thought.

Keep it up NdaniTV, I love this series.

I love NdaniTV! When my parents are watching the films on the Nollywood channel too often they are just so poorly written, filmed and acted. But not a single show on Ndani has failed to meet my expectations for good modern comedies and dramas. Gidi Up, Skinny Girl in Transit and now Rumour Has great shows!

Infidelity is grounds for divorce. ..even in the Catholic Church. This episodes just highlights the sad reality a lot of women (especially nigerian) go through.; the lie that a woman's greatest achievement is marriage and she has to tolerate anything just to be on that "pedestal "

Great episode. Forgiveness would be much easier if 1) he didn't get her pregnant. 2) didn't treat her like trash. 3) his family was sympathetic. The choice to get a divorce is personal, solely her decision. She needs to assess hers tolerance level and draw that line. I love her parents, when it came down to it they defended her. The mom did her part whether bad advice or not. Her advice matched her values and belief system + how she was raised.
