My mom died last year a month before a long-planned trip with my partner. I was feeling really guilty about keeping on with the trip, but we went ahead anyway, and it was the best possible medicine for a broken heart. I won't say I didnt have moments of grief, because my mom loved Disney and many things reminded me of our old trips. But being in my happy place, having my favorite snacks, getting the kindness from cast members, even just being hugged by my favorite characters helped so much.

I went to WDW in 2023 and 2024. Alone. I had the greatest time. I did what I want on no time schedule.
I think I had a better time in 2023, but I still had THEE best time.
I don’t care if people look at me funny when I tell them I went to Disney alone or if people think it’s creepy. I’m not a pervert. I just love Disney. I’ve always had fun.
Last year was a little different because my Dad passed away a few months before my trip, but I remember when he took me to Disney back in 1988. Just me and him. I went with his memory and I’m sure he was there in spirit.
I won’t be going this year, but I do plan on going again in 2026 and will definitely be back when the Cars and Villains land open.

So, my point is, just don’t overthink it. If you want to go, do it. You won’t regret it.

For me AJ has become a big part of the magic of this place. I love your videos and your channel, and this one hit home for me! Thank you so much for reminding us of the good vibe of Disney World!

We have been watching your channel for years and I think this video is my favorite you have ever made! My wife and I met working at the parks in California and there is so much truth to the escape and magic of these parks! We feel so fortunate and lucky to have gotten to be apart of that magic for so long and now we look forward to it even as guest! Thank you for being a positive voice!

This video is on point! I’m one of those people who won’t be deterred by Disney trash talk. It’s my happy place. My daughter and I feel the same way about Disney. Hubby? Not so much, but that’s ok. We do a girls trip, often. 99.9% of the cast members are a pleasure to talk to and they bend over backwards to make you happy. i.e. I was at the checkout counter and asked the CM if the still carried a specific cookie. She didn’t think so - didn’t remember it. A different CM overheard our conversation and went to find the product! She brought it back to me before I was done checking out!! That’s why I will continue to go to Disney as much as I can. I will look at my finances at the time and do what I can with what I have. There’s always a way! 😊

AJ I can’t wait to read your book! I almost cried when you talked about why Disney adults keep coming back! ❤ Disney World is literally the only place in the world where I feel like I can truly escape the daily stress of adult life- even on vacations elsewhere, I still can’t manage to truly escape! It’s a place where I can truly enjoy the moment, with my family and the people I love most in the world.

We’re Busch Gardens/Seaworld APs, since we’re roller coaster enthusiasts and Disney just doesn’t scratch that itch, but we love going to Disney for the food, entertainment and the vibes! We had stopped into POFQ for beignets and boozy beignets one morning a few months ago. My daughter was standing facing me when I see Pluto and Goofy coming up behind her in the lobby. She had no idea. They tapped her on the shoulder, surprised her and gave her a big hug 🤗 It was so adorable! Got it on camera too. Now that was magical.

When AJ talked about "firsts" that happened in the parks, it reminded me of when my little cousin lost her first tooth at Disney. It was such a big deal to her and of course, the Disney tooth fairy is much more magical than the regular one at home so she got a pair of Minnie ears and a $100 bill for her tooth. Needless to say, it set a very high precedent for all other lost teeth to come 🤣

I was in animal kingdom with my boyfriend. I was emotional; We had not slept in like 30 hours, it was our first park of our FIRST vacation together that we had saved up so long for. I went to go get food from Flame Tree Barbecue, and I forgot that I had paid hundreds for the meal plan, and accidentally used my credit card. When my boyfriend pointed it out, I just broke down from exhaustion and started crying. A cast member, the manager, came to us and when I explained what happened and said I’m sorry, she immediately gave me another meal credit and was probably one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She was so kind and understanding, she made us laugh so hard, and she told us it was okay to be overwhelmed because of how perfect we wanted this trip to be. She saw me crying and offered me a free glass of wine 😂 the cast members are really the most magical part❤

Totally agree, my friend! Our family all love a Disney vacation, and we range in age from 8 to 80. My favorite moment was when my now 18 yo grandson was 2. He spotted the Little Einsteins across the room while we were waiting for a family photo with Sorcerer Mickey (my husband's favorite character). Jack ducked under the rope and took off, June saw him coming and went down on one knee to catch him as he threw himself into her arms. He closed his eyes, put his head on her chest and hugged her for a very long time. As you mentioned, she held him and let him get it all out until he was ready to move on to the next character. I have multiples of these stories for every one of my 6 grandchildren, and it never gets old. They're much older now, but the oldest (now almost 26) mentioned the other day that he needs a Disney hit... and it's only been 2 years for him. It was my happy place when I was still working - my shoulders dropped as soon as I looked up and saw Cinderell's Castle - and it still is. Totally magical!

For my kids it was. For me dealing with the prices, and the constant having to be on my phone to get on rides, order meals and not being in the moment with them was not. Never going back. Not wasting another moment like that. We did universal and I was there with them. No phone no planning just rolling with it.

You nailed it all! You’re in an amazing bubble and you never want to leave. Characters are real. The food and drinks tastes better (not you, Beverly). Smells bring on emotional feels (not you, Figment skunk). Cast members are so helpful. I go whenever I can.

We're at WDW right now. It will never be the same going as an adult as when you were a kid, but we're still having a blast. Only complaint is how expensive it is. Price of everything has gotten ridiculous.

I have had a meh experience this time around. It’s my last day here today but I have had a lot of issues especially with Hollywood studios. Something I learned is since Disneyworld is private property they have no guidelines or rules for guests to look at which gives the customer very little ability to do anything if you feel you have been wronged. If you have a problem with any cast member make sure to get that name badge memorized or they will say “you didn’t get it so we can’t do anything and you can’t go back and find that person now since it’s to late”. It’s a scare tactic, they can’t stop you from learning the cast member name and reporting it even if nothing comes of it.

I actually needed and used the Car Care Center on my first trip where the person who drove us there had some brake and rotor issues and without the CCC at Disney World, we would not have made it home.

My favorite happy magical moment is slowly walking through Frontierland late in the evening, along the boardwalk next to the Walt Disney beloved Rivers of America enjoying the reflections on the water and muffled sounds of the area… And now it’s being replaced with talking cars??! Disney, Please keep that section of waterway!!
