Harm's Way Theme: The Rattlesnake's Broken Spine

Показать описание
Title: The Rattlesnake's Broken Spine
Artist: Mognstuambuam
Game: Harms Way (Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade)
When I was younger I used to love playing Harm's Way. I've been going back through my fond memories of that time, especially listening to the game's music. Looking up the game online, all that I've managed to find is bad quality uploads from years ago, no surprise there. I did a little more research into the band that made the music, Mognstuambuam, but they've moved on to other things.
The band did release this song for sale back when the game released, but it's only available to buy in certain countries. So instead, I set out to rip the music for myself.
I sold my Xbox 360 a long time ago, but I did have a few other options. First I tried ripping the music from the game files themselves. I managed to find a download link to the game file from years ago. I got close but hit a stag when I realised the game was made in Bongfish‘s SOMA engine, which was only ever used for Harms Way and had no public tools.
My solution came when I realised I could simply run the game in an Xbox 360 emulator (Xenia) and record the audio for myself. Recorded the menu, edited it together in Vegas and here you have it. Enjoy.
