Are 4 Star Artifacts Worth Keeping In Genshin Impact?

Purple Artifacts are alright for supports. So you can spend all your resin to farm for your dps.

i only recommend 4 star artifacts for the flower section if u need it asap, cause HP doesnt really matter most of the time.

Top advice: Keep the 4-star artifacts if and ONLY if they have 3 amazing substats to begin with.

If it starts at 2 substats, it's instantly trash.

The thing is as AR 45 player it is kinda hard to get 5* artifacts

For me i only keep purples if they're Viridescent with EM. So damn difficult getting double or triple EM pieces for my Venti, Sucrose and Sayu. So glad Jean doesn't need VV.

i have a couple great 4 star arts on the noblesse and wanderer’s troupe set so i use the noblesse on healer/buffer supports and one wanderer’s on ganyu until i can get a better one, just cause that one artifact is the best i have flower-wise

For me, Yes. Especially Circlets with Crit Main stat and Substat. or Elemental Goblets. They are the Hardest to Farm pieces.

They might Drop a lot. But you get shit Rolls.

Good for the beginning of the game, but at the end of the game above World Level 7-8 or AR 50-60 of course it will be difficult to defeat the enemy if you use purple artifacts.

we can keep and should keep the 4 star artifacts if the 5 star artifacts are trash, but the 4 star artifacts have lower stats and can only be level 16 at max.

I think purple artifacts are good depending on 2 things.

1. If the main stat isn't too important on the character (like hp on venti) so it can be 4 star and not affect them too much.

2. It has three sub stats at level 0 with obviously good substats.

i'm at ar52 and still use mostly four star artifacts than five star ones; my dps, keqing and sub dps, ayaka only have 2 or 3 five star artifacts equipped on them while my support and healer both use four stars (the best ones i have, ofc)
it's not like i'm lazy to grind, it's just that i don't have time to do a domain 5 times to use up all my condensed resin and all i get in return are def main stat five star artifacts or none at all at times.
also bringing up the fact i don't have a good pyro leveled up for the electro artifact domain lmao, that's what i'm working on right now.
it's also not like my dmg sucks, my keqing has 2k atk and ayaka around 1, 800k, their crit stats aren't the best but ayaka and keqing both hit 20k. i might do artifact grinding soon when i need to, right now, what i have is good enough.

I'd say 4 star artifacts are good if you aren't getting any of the pieces you want, you can use it as alternate until you get a good one

Keep your good instructor pieces... those can be useful even in the late game...
Certain energy recharge sands, and elemental mastery 4* pieces might be good temporarily, because they're quite rare.
Also temporarily, 4* Crit headpieces with good substats.
Gambler pieces are also pretty good for Fishl as a budget replacement (for the two-piece bonus).
Long term, all your non-instructor pieces should be 5* though.

I think you should keep purple artifacts for challenging yourself. You get all these god tier artifacts over the course of months and now the game is very boring largely. However I only recommend keeping 4 stars for the aforementioned purpose if you have hit that point of power.

For some reason I have better rolls on 4 stars artifact than 5... And it's ok, in the end the set it wats matters

Using VV as an example is really good cause I have two characters that use a EM build and I never drop the 5* EM artifacts from the VV domain, but 4* yeah, I have a few of them.
