#shorts | Sheepishly Me SHORTS | There's something very WRONG with this newborn lamb...

Not exactly a perfect ending for a busy day of lambing. Mama had twins... one was perfectly normal, but the other had some significant deformities. I did my best to keep baby comfortable and was even able to feed her, but knew the prognosis of this lamb actually making it was slim to none.

Awww at least it felt what love and compassion was like before she passed away. Food, warmth, being held, caressed, cared for. Instead of being left to freeze and starve to death without feeling any love when first born. Thank you Shepardess for that blessed moment of love you gave that little soul. ❤

Putting her head up and attempting to drink is probably an instinctual survival behaviour rather than neurological. Bless her. I hope the vet was able to come in asap. Thanks for keeping her comfy and cared for until then 🙏

Awww. The thing that makes me so sad is that they don't even get the love of mom for the short time they're here cuz mom always rejects the deformed baby. At least she was fortunate enough to have you as the shepherd of her flock to show her love and give her food and warmth.

No matter how dire it seems or if they are certain to die, they deserve just as much, if not more love, care and devotion. For we are all certain for death. It's so sad how she compared the two lambs then proceeded to call the deformed lamb "it." When she said, "Its drinking, " it broke my heart. But im glad she's helping ;)

I showed my friend this and without missing a beat he said straight to the chicken nugget machine with that one. I've never felt so bad but laughed so hard in my life

That baby is deformed but also super cute. I hope she makes it and eventually joins the retirement community ❤ that would be adorable. But if she’s too out of shape and goes in the night, that tragedy will eventually be less painful too. I wish you and the lamb luck.
