Sooo... lambing began a bit unexpectedly with a little ewe lamb who accidentally had a visit with a ram lamb 5 months ago...
She's a good mom, but thinking a bit preoccupied with her two siblings to realize this lamb was going backwards... and FAST.

I followed the procedure I use when a lamb isn't thriving...
1. take temp, if under 37C, warm lamb (in this case I used the baby in a bag method in hopes of re-introducing baby to mom... the lamb stays dry and the cleanings are still intact so mama can sniff around)
2. put in a warming box and check temps every 20 min
3. once lamb has reached temp, try to feed colostrum
4. once lamb is stronger, try to re-introduce to mama!

and... low and behold, IT WORKED!

I was given 2 lambs that were rejected by the momma, and those bottle lambs are truly a rewarding experience ( 4 horned Jacob's) ...but wow, it's wonderful to see the mom accept the lamb!❤
