I have a wonderful GSD. Like a lot of them, she has a tendancy towards anxiety but not in a troublesome way. Just follows me everywhere. Recenty I was in hospital, quite seriously ill. Came home in a lot of pain. She gently nose butted and kissed me constantly for days as if to comfort and encourage me (she doesn't do this normally). Will never ever forget that. Love her so so much.

I'm an hour from Ripon WI. I recently rescued a beautiful German Shepherd named Sheba. A family who fell on hard times was surrendering her to the local h.s. I would love to add Rippy to our family!❤❤❤

I rescued an adult female shepherd many years ago. She had been abused and then abandoned when her owners moved. Neighbors took her in but couldn't keep her. Through my daughter and her friend she ended up with me. Long story short, she was the most amazing dog! How anyone could abuse her I will never understand.

I wish people knew these are the best family dogs, not just guardians. Many years ago German Shepherds were the original guide dogs for the blind in the UK.
