Honestly the best explosion in entertainment I’ve seen so far. The animation + sound effects are perfect.

If you assume that the mountains being blown apart before the blast explodes are 1km across and are made of granite, then each explosion the juubi blast creates BEFORE DETONATING is a couple megatons to maybe even a gigaton of TNT.

The explosion of the blast is far greater, and comparing the fireball's size to the distant mountains, it is easily several miles across at a bare minimum. The explosion then blossoms even further, and I guess that the final explosion is in the high end Gigaton to possibly teraton of TNT.

The only natural event to compare to the "mountain-busting stage" is the 1883 eruption of Krakatoa, which released the equivalent of 200 megatons of TNT. The final blast is only comparable to that of a large asteroid impact.
