MY PVY FAT WHEEL E-BIKE UNBOXING - SPANISH POSTAL AND DELIVERY PROBLEMS - ON-LINE SERVICES SPAIN

After having my first bike stolen I have received my replacement bike. Time to unbox and build. Also, bike safety, Spanish postal services problems an be careful ordering services on-line.

Kryptonite make amazing locks. They were always the goto locks when I was growing up. Well right up until they were picked using a Bic pen! Thankfully that exploit has been resolved.

Glad you sorted your air con out Steve 👍. Your bike looks great 😊.. so good luck with it 🍀 could your lock have been opened to take your old bike and for sheer divilment they snapped the lock shut again 🔒.. wouldn't put anything past a scumbag.
As for the postal service, we've been here 7yrs now and our postie delivers twice a day on his yellow moped... Drops your letters in your post box, any small parcels he has in his top box, he brings it down to the house. If we get amazon deliveries, they are great, you can follow the van on the app and you get a ping when they enter the street. One time I wasn't home a parcel had arrived a day earlier and I got a txt message to tell me they had left it at the card shop in Quesada.... 🤞 Never had any problems.... The overseas mail was slower some time last year, but I was told it was an issue with customs. That seems to be sorted out now. Guess the Correos management in your area, need a kick up the jacksy !! The delivery drive who brought the bike sounded like a chancer.... 👎.. Karma my friend karma.

PVY! That’s the e-bike I’ve been looking at.
Postage is very difficult here, we’re waiting for documents to be sent to us to do our driving licence exchange. Like you, Correos won’t deliver to our urb, so we’ve got a drop off point at a local shop. Correos say they delivered there on Monday but no sign of it.
Amazon deliveries have been ok as there’s Amazon lockers for small items, or pick up at a shop for larger ones, or sometimes they have to deliver to our address, very random

Agree postal service and deliveries can be hit and miss, although on our urb we have a phone entry system which helps, but we don’t currently have a Spanish mobile so some companies won’t text.
Glad you’ve got a replacement bike - your little black spaniel was a complete scene stealer - she is a little poppet!

Nice ride Steve! Hope this one lasts longer :-) My plan is to arrive in the area around half of September, decided to take one of my bikes from Holland but will look around in Spain for a new bike probably. Drive safe! 🚲🚲🚲

Been here 19 years and post has always been a problem and since brexit any parcels coming from UK have to go through customs and can take weeks to get released. My sister sent a parcel from N. Ireland last December I received it in April. Amazon deliver to the Boulevard. Did you know there is a Post Room in Villamartin beside the Plaza.

Had a look at my bike, it older model, so I may have idea how Bike stolen .
My Bike fold in middle similar to yours, If you look in middle of Bike where Bike flod up, On my Bike there is a Bolt/Screw and has Hexhead, so it would not be difficult to dismantle Bike into 2 sections and walk away with it,
Well that is what could have happened, So I will 2 holes so strong chain can slide through holes,

If you’re not a regular cyclist pretty much any saddle will cause some discomfort on your delicate derrière. Renovations and a mini split, nice one!

Been living in different towns in Spain for many years and never had problems with the mail or delivery. Might depend on if you live in an area with a lot of short term houses or more residents.

Nice lock and as has been already said, it's your bum not the seat, you'll have sore pressure points until your bum gets used to it, then you won't have if you cycle regularly. I've cycled across Spain with no security issues, even leaving my bike outside shops unlocked but in the Cities and towns, bike, seat, wheel theft appears far worse than the UK. Helmets are a personal choice, believers and non believers, there is not 1 shred of evidence to show helmets are of a nett benefit after decades of debate!
